Banter and Brews Men’s Support Group:

Introduction:

                                                                                                                                                                                      Welcome to the B & B’s Website. 

I would like to tell you a little about our group. We are a men’s support group which support men who are [18+] in the Borough of Stockport and wider communities. Our members range from people who are looking for company & a change of scenery to people who are lonely and isolated, we also support members who have various challenges or working on their recovery from various addictions/problems…… all are welcome in our group.  We are a low-level support group where all our volunteers aren’t professionals, we encourage our volunteers to take up any training that’s offered, which most do, we have a wide breath of knowledge in our volunteers, most have had their own challenges so have an empathy and understanding with their fellow members.

Through funding and extremely generous donations we take our members on enrichment trips and educational outings; this helps to forge friendships and bonds with other members helping to bridge that gap between loneliness and an understanding of other challenges.  We also like to provide activities and a light meal [with healthy options] in our weekly meetings [where possible & practical], we also like to invite outside agencies & interest groups to come and give presentations/talks to our members.
